  : Only the location and the landlady was pleasant
  : I sometimes read reports and wonder how could it be that the place was so bad, are they so difficult to please and demanding, well I just found out. I cannot recall ever cringing in this way ever and I travel extensively. About the only two positive aspects were the landlady who was courteous and pleasant and the location. The rest is well, ....no complimentary words come to mind. The toilet/shower which is outside the room had no heating on, the carpets are grubby and worn, one single towel of tiny dimensions 67cm x 115cm, smell of faeces coming through into the room, cigarette odour in the passage, slow and grubby small electric kettle, one cringed to occupy the room I actually slept with my clothes on with just the blanket over me as the bed sheets and pillow cases did not feel clean with hair and other particles found between the sheets (see photos).The sound insulation is poor affecting privacy, tiny TV, not anyway near Airbnb standards, the property was worn and run down. Heating by portable electric radiator. Trapezoid shaped room size 3.85 x 2.87 = 11.2 m2 or one end 3.1 and the other 2.1 about 11. 2 m2. I could go on. Breakfast very plastic. I was so happy to walk out...

  : The mattresses were old, sheets were burned? We also ran out of toilet paper in only loo and no additional was left anywhere. Had to chase host to bring more paper which wasnt great

  : This is our 2nd stay. Our host is always friendly and very flexible with arrival times. The continental breakfast is always good. Because it is so close to the Mayflower Theatre it is ideal for us to stay and we`ve told our host that we will stay there each time we go to Southampton.

  : Location was great for what I needed but the place itself is very dated and basic. The breakfast was fine, just wish there was more options.
