  : Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. The Sherry hour was nice. It has charm as an antique Victorian building and some impressive historic architecture.
  : We saw a mouse run across the floor in daylight. It wasn’t great. The heater in our room was hard to turn off and the knob was broken. We didn’t want to eat the breakfast because of the mouse, but we looked at what they had and it was standard hotel fare that really didn’t match the charm of the place.

  : Loved the location a few blocks from Fillmore Street / Pacific Heights. Piece of Victoriana, fully embraced! Book exchange and big, roomy lounge. Nice cookies with the coffee. Decent breakfast.

  : Location was great, the staff was very helpful and kind. The hotel is nicely decorated and has a calm atmosphere. Cozy lobby with coffee and cookies, nice to have before you go out.
  : Breakfast was ok, no much variety.Beds are not great, my partner had some trouble sleeping.The walls are thin, we had a group next door making noise, we heard them loud.

  : Charming, classic hotel. Clean, quiet room. A tall fan, which was quite helpful to cool the room. Comfortable mattress. Free continental breakfast, with a very good number of options. Perfect location for us.
  : The pillows! Ours were much too thick, making it impossible to sleep except on one's back and causing us neck strain even when we did. All 3 of us struggled with those. One of us had to sleep without any pillow. Since the hotel provides 4+ pillows per bed, we wish they provide one pair of normal-thickness pillows. The breakfast was good, but I'd personally love to get scrambled eggs rather than hard-boiled eggs.

  : Celebrating Father's Day with my daughter was the highlight of my stay. The location was okay but not quite at that price range. The over-rated Victorian attributes are not quite my favorite, but acceptable for a one night stay. Breakfast was okay, but boiled eggs rather than scrambled, didn't feel the same...
  : I usually don't waste time writing reviews in general, let alone, about hotel stays, but I booked this one to spend Father's Day with my daughter, and I did choose it based on its "excellent" reviews and location. Other than that, it was quite disappointing. The room (209) was as outdated and mixed-matched in its furniture style as it gets -not to mention the stains on the cheap carpet which are probably dated to Victorian times, but more importantly the bed mattress was as anatomical un-proven as my whole body could attest the following morning... All in all, I'd rather spend $300 (270 room + $30 parking) for one night somewhere else...
