  : We travelled with Corsica Ferries from Toulon to Bastia and back to Nice. As we could not secure car hire at Bastia Port / town for our dates we travelled to and from Ile Rousse by train - slow travel, but one of the world's great train journeys, not to be missed! The change to our travel plans meant we arrived much earlier than we had originally planned when we booked our accommodation. We were delighted to have confirmation that we could check in early. We were warmly welcomed by Sandra, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. During a stormy night we experienced a lot of wind noise in our apartment due to a door problem. On being advised of this Sandra immediately organised a transfer to another apartment, and a complimentary upgrade too! For the customer service alone we would highly recommend Residence Saletta Casale. Both apartments we experienced were very well equipped. We enjoyed the pools and the well-maintained grounds. The location is excellent - two minutes walk to the train station, one minute from the pedestrianised streets of the town and just a few minutes more to the beach. We did not miss having a car for our 5 nights in Ile Rousse. There is plenty to do in the town and lots of nearby walking options, including to the wonderful Bodri Plage. A short train hop to Calvi is also a must. Would certainly recommend and would hope to return.

  : Great location close to the old town, train station and harbour. Lovely sea views over the harbour and to L'ile de la Pietra. Tranquil complex, although it was mid-October and only around half the apartments seemed to be let. Both pools were fantastic and offered variety for the kids. L'Ile Rousse beach was only a five to ten minute walk away. Train to Calvi is a must, passing by local beach Bodri for which you can request the train to stop.

  : Location was perfect- easy walking distance to beach, town, water sports - everything. Well maintained and clean.
  : Had to take your garbage up the street to the main dump, not a pleasant walk on hot days!We were on the ground floor and had no view - but misleading from the photos....
