  : Breakfast good but always queue for coffee machine needs another coffee station
  : Reaction of staff when we reported water coming through ceiling from apartment above . Would have liked immediate attention and move room or offer of room rate reduction as we were unable to use the room for an hour and we’re concerned it could happen again . Offer of room change was not forthcoming until we had already retired for the evening. There was also a lot of scaffolding and building work going on which we should have been informed about prior to booking. However couldn’t fault the restaurant and service .

  : Fabulous tranquil location in the heart of Windermere.
  : Main hotel rooms feeling a little tired ready for a significant revamp if premium prices are to be sustained. Also wasn’t advised about the significant refurbishment work taking place in the poolside leisure facilities and exclusive spa where a number of facilities were not available even though a charge of an additional £85 pp requested. Realise refurbs have to happen but just be honest that work is in progress at time of accepting bookings.

  : Cost, comfortable, clean and spacious. Bar and breakfast was great, had an excellent variety.
  : The tv hardly worked, it was intermittent and the tv wasn’t able to be fixed. The spa was expensive on top of how expensive it was just to stay at Langdale

  : We like the first spacious, well appointed room we had for 2 nights with a very comfortable bed, good & well equipped bathroom and both comfortably warm. Our second room wasn’t as well equipped.The spa facility was good with a good sized pool, excellent steam room & jacuzzi massages within the pool. The staff in the spa facility were particularly warm, friendly and welcoming.We had a good meal at the nearby pub - ‘Wainwrights’. At breakfast, there was plenty of choice and it was well set out.
  : Because of a broken firm alarm going off during the night several times plus other additional unidentified noises, our sleep was very disturbed on our 2nd out 3 nights, so we were moved to another room for our final night which wasn’t as well appointed and no where near as tastefully decorated unfortunately. On our 2nd night eating in the hotel, my husband had a good pizza, so I decided to have the same on our last night, it was nothing like the one from the previous night, it was disgusting and the rest of the food was very mediocre and disappointing. It was quite noticeable that the staff in the dining area weren’t particularly happy in their work which seemed to create a strange atmosphere. Calyn was an exception to this, she was quick, efficient and very good at her job. Having said all this we did notice at breakfast when some male staff, obviously management walked through the restaurant, some serving staff smiled at them, and they were completely ignored, probably this contributes to the strange atmosphere.We definitely didn’t think our 3 night stay with breakfast warranted a charge of £730 when we compare it to other hotel stays we have had recently in the Lake District.
