Holyrood Hotel - Leisure Centre & Escape Spa

  : Unfortunately, not too much. Breakfast was very good and Fernando, one of the waiters, was exceptional. The hotel has free parking, which is nice.
  : I will try to be as objective as possible and avoid subjective judgement.- The "double bed" of the bedroom was really small. It was more like a big individual bed.- The mattress was unstable, my partner and I were both falling off the bed from each side, as it was deformed from the sides.- Shower had very low pressure, and had to shower almost touching the wall.- The hotel was full of children, often running and shouting in the main hall around reception (poor hotel workers...).- There was an AC machine/fan outside of our room, and it was constantly on and making a very annoying noise, specially during the night.- Our room was beside the elevator, and we could here the mechanism of the elevator every time it was being used. Quite annoying too.- In general, the room was not very sound-proof. We could here all people (specially children) walking by our door all the time, sometimes waking us up because of the noise.- The Spa was not available. We stayed in the hotel during a weekend in July. We went to the Spa around 9:30am on Saturday and told the receptionist of the Spa that we wanted to make an appointment for later in the day. They said they couldn't take appointments without their manager (why would you need a manager to take some notes about somebody wanting to make an appointment?), and that we should wait until 10:00am when their manager arrives. We went out to make the most out of our day and when we came back around 3pm, they told us it was all booked.- It is mandatory to wear a swimming cap in the swimming pool (this is not the end of the world, but knowing there are many luxury Spas in Ireland that don't make you wear a swimming cap... I don't know what's the need for it).- Swimming pool building is old, badly painted and rusty.

  : We waited even 4.30 pm room wasn't ready.chek out time 11.30.so I don't understand.i was in room 155.the cold water in the shower not working.so it was boiling water from shower.and no water pressure .breakfast time was 10am.we waited for 15mts to take the order.by the time we get the food the removed all juices and cereals everything removed from the restaurent.Total experience was nightmare. Never go againIt wasn't cheap

  : The room we stayed in 302 should not have been sold. The lift beside the room was going up and down until 2.30 in the morning and the vibrations of it were going through the bed. Ruined our stay!
