  : Staff members were unfriendly and incapable. Not trained in hospitality or customer service. Room is in the basement with no natural light. Working / staff room directly above and was very noisy and loud. Would not recommend staying here, there are plenty of other good options for hotels in the area.

  : I wouldn’t know anything about the Franklin because the hotel was over booked and both our rooms were moved to another hotel.
  : The hotel was over booked. Although we paid close to $1200 for 2 rooms for 1 night we were sent to another hotel. We picked the hotel based on family and a wedding we were attending. It was very unfortunate.

  : The size of the rooms is unprecedented for NYC. It was nice to have a place to be able to relax after schlepping around the city all day. The main bed was comfortable and we appreciated the daily cleaning of the room and the friendly front desk staff. The sauna was an unexpected delight, and though we didn't take much advantage, having a kitchen for simple breakfasts and snacks is pretty nice. The corner store, Turkish restaurant, middle eastern breakfast spot (Alula), and the boba and Taiwanese restaurant nearby are all great and within a block or two of the hotel.
  : They've never updated their website from Covid times. Most rooms have a pullout couch, but they only list the deluxe queen with patio as fitting 3 people. First, we would've loved a king bed. Second, the pullout couch on the ground floor is horrible--the springs stick out and the mattress stinks--our 9 year old slept on the pullout, but said it was uncomfortable, whereas the futons in the other rooms that we saw (my other family stayed in those rooms) were totally comfortable. The ground floor is by the service stairs for the upstairs restaurant and under the restaurant and so the noise travels downstairs, and there was construction of several rooms during our stay. The upper floor where my brother stayed is under apartments where residents are often up late into the night. They should've mentioned this and/or offered a discount during our stay. I recommend turning your sound machines on full blast and having ear plugs. The patio isn't usable it's so small.For the priciest hotel room we've ever booked in NYC, this was all a disappointment. Having the extra space was awesome, but for the price we'd likely book a hotel in Manhattan and come over to Brooklyn for the day on the ferry.

  : Complete inadequacies amongst staff and management. Communication is nil. One staff member made racial accusations. Management is non empathetic. I do not recommend.
