Inn on the Blues

  : We stayed in the Sandpiper room at Inn on the Blues. It is a 2 queen bed room. The size of the room was great. Lots of space with a sitting chair and a nice vanity area to get ready. With the bathroom being so small, this was an added bonus. The bathroom was quite small, but was more than fine for what we needed it for. The beds were an extremely firm memory foam with hardly any spring. To us, they were not the best mattresses. It was difficult for us to get comfortable and stay comfortable. However, I understand that this is a personal preference and that others may feel differently and enjoy the memory foam. There is a window air conditioning unit that kept the room very comfortable, however, when it rained, the rain came off of the roof and landed on the unit creating a loud dripping noise. It was extremely loud and difficult to sleep when it was raining outside. The rooms are on the second floor of the Inn on the Blues restaurant directly on Ocean Dr. The restaurant was always busy and there was live music Friday and Saturday night. Surprisingly, there wasn't much noise from the restaurant that made it to our room. Every once in a while we would hear a loud laugh or something of the sort but nothing that would deter us from staying here again. Overall, the location, directly in the center of York, the value, being directly across from Short Sands, and the ease of amenities, check in and check out were unbeatable. We will definitely be staying again, maybe try out a different room.

  : I liked the location..The room was nice and comfortable
  : I didn't like the stairs. I didn't feel very secure, with the rooming area being open to the public. The locks on the door are not very secure. The restaurant below us closed on Sunday night early.
