  : Beautiful quiet village location, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. Easy free parking. Comfortable beds. Super clean. Good food.
  : Staff kept a low profile, or there are not enough, meaning more waiting for bar or table service than you'd ideally like.

  : The room was really small, there was only one comfy chair in the room and my husband kept banging his head on the very low beams on the eves, a warning might at least have been useful or even pre visit warning and we were only staying two nights ,never been to the area before ..from Yorkshire .would probably have booked a different room tbh No drawers , only hanging space. Lacking in many ways Room 1 dissapointed us.. Rest of hotel .loved it

  : Loved the place and location, very friendly owner and staff which made for a lovely stay. Room was comfortable.
  : Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. There was no toast even though there was jam on the table and no sugar, we also had to ask for spoons. Bathroom space for sponge bags etc. was a problem but I made some suggestions to the owner as I think this could be improved.

  : The friendliness of staff and of other guests indicates to me that we are all treated with the same care and attention. The food was excellent. Given the choice I would prefer not to pre-order my breakfast the evening before. The bed was amazingly comfortable.
  : Better menu presentation needed and a "today's specials" menu on each table, rather than different boards in different areas. We should have been warned of the head-banging beam in room 1 when we were shown to our room. It might have helped my wife avoid an early contact!
