Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa Downtown an IHG Hotel

  : The property was a clean environment, great location
  : What I didn’t like about the property is the fact that the house cleaning crew stolen property out of my room while they were cleaning my room I’ve contacted the general manager the indigo location in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and the CEO of IHG and unfortunately I have not received any feedback. Any updates comments or even a phone call addressing my concerns. Staying at the property is very expensive and the fact that I have to have my property stolen on top of paying an expensive room rate is astonishing. If you value your belongings, I truly recommend you do not stay at this location or make sure you keep track of your belongings and don’t allow the house keeping crew coming to your room during any of your stay.

  : We stayed in the annex section of the hotel, per our request. Having stayed in the main building in the past I can say the room we had in the annex building was much more spacious than the main. The location is really great. The “park” next door is awesome especially at night when it is all light up. The coffee shop across the parking lot(no affiliation) but a bonus. Same goes for the Mexican restaurant in that center. I also would like to mention our room attendant was great. She always had fresh towels and was very accommodating when we asked for additional things.
  : Not much to say about dislikes as our stay was very comfortable. If I had to think of some things I would definitely start with the no microwave in rooms. There is a mini fridge that is great…but a microwave would make it spectacular! What good is bringing home your leftovers to put in the fridge and then not being able to warm them up to enjoy later or the next day. I’m also going to say this and please don’t take it against anyone in particular. I’m from an area that relies on tourists as a major part of our economy. I’ve also worked in the industry. The staff at the front desk of your establishment could be a little more professional. When I checked in the employee had their dinner at the front desk and was eating it! In my world this is a big no-no! They also took a phone call while checking us in. Granted there was only one person at the desk working. But common courtesy should be to ask the person on the phone to hold and continue to deal with the guest in front of them. The last time I stayed here I felt the same way during check in. It felt rushed and almost as if we were a bother. I’ve had better experiences at lower budget hotels…and that is not good.

  : The room was dirty. It hasn’t been cleaned thoroughly in quite a long time, we found the tip of a condom on the floor next to the bed AFTER we stayed the night. Crummy dirty.

  : Great location beside Riverwalk trail. Was cheaper than other nearby options.
  : Staff wasn’t especially friendly or welcoming, however my primary complaint is the floors on Main Level where my room was. Carpet hallway outside my room was dirty. The floor in my room was DIRTY! It looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed or mopped in weeks— obvious debris all over bathroom tile, obvious debris on carpet. Not confidence inspiring for hotel cleanliness and sanitation…Was cheaper than Alamite. Having now stayed at both hotels, I’d prefer the Alamite— much cleaner, bigger TV with streaming options, friendlier more attentive staff.
