  : Check-in took five to ten minutes (I was the only customer at the time) and it was 3:00pm. It took so long for the lady to find a king room for us.. Bathroom wasn't clean. Hairs on the bathroom ceiling. How is that even possible? Are you moping ceiling after moping floors? Only one (tiny) shampoo in the bathroom, no other toiletries. I was expected to make a call and request for soap, body wash and extra towel. Instead I bought my own toiletries, of course. We stayed for two nights and received no housekeeping service. Lower standards are becoming new standard for most hotels that I stayed in the US after covid. You either pay $250+plus per night for standard services or get ready for "bed and room only" accommodations. I am perfectly fine with the latter. I don't have to pay extra bucks for small/tiny shampoo bottles, and can tidy up my own room if I have time. However, I am just confused what to expect from a four star hotel... Should I bring my own towels? There are reasons why many people prefer to stay at hotels instead of Airbnb rooms. So, what are you now? Maybe hotels should update their booking.com profiles and tell us a priori what (not) to expect.. Much like breakfast or mini bar items, hotels must be crystal clear about toiletries and house keeping services (not) provided and their prices: I should have the option to opt in/out for these, now, ad-ons. Then I will decide whether or not to stay at a hotel or Airbnb.

  : The beds were not clean at all. The sheets were dirty . There was blood when you took of the pillows. The bathroom has hair on the floor by the sink I had to wash the tub myself so I could sit in it

  : The room hadn't been cleaned recently. Someone's leftover pizza was in the fridge. There was no shower curtain liner or bath mat. The shower curtain was falling apart and there were toothpaste drips on the front of the cabinet. The walls were thin.
