: The apartment is lovely, great views, nice kitchen, ideal for a family of four.
: Unfortunately, we had two serious issues with our stay. Firstly, we returned home one evening to find the front door locked from the inside. There are four flats that share the front door, and someone had locked it on the latch. Our flat was upstairs. No one else seemed to be in the building. For half an hour I called the provided number, left a message, but no response. We needed to get in, our two young children were cold, tired and hungry after being on the beach all afternoon, and so I called the local fire brigade. Their station was closed, so I rang 999. The lady was sympathetic, but as it wasn't a life or death situation, they understandably could not come to open the door. The door had glass panels in it, but rather than smash my way in and cause damage, I decided to try and find a ladder to see if I could get in through the bedroom sash window I had left slightly open at the top. My wife was offered a short ladder by a helpful neighbour, but it was nowhere near long enough. I then saw a long ladder in anither house's carpark. I managed to climb up, open the window, and get inside. As the ground outside was a slope, the ladder wasn't verticle, and it was a very nervewracking way to have to get inside. Fortunately I got it, but did strain my back doing so. Once inside I was able to go downstairs and open the front door. A few minutes later, I finally got a call back from the office. The second issue was that once we were in, we realised the boiler had gone wrong, and we had no hot water. After being locked out, to then not be able to shower ourselves and our children was far from ideal. To be fair, they did organise for the boiler to be repaired the next day. But for 24 hours we had no hot water. We have two serious issues, and no apology from the owners. Given how much we were paying to stay, I'm afraid we had a pretty poor time overall.
