  : We thought that the hotel was excellent. The facilities - restaurant, rooms, etc were first class and the staff were really warm and welcoming and we appreciated their attention.
  : The only thing that we thought could be improved was a lounge-type area with comfortable chairs where one could spend a couple of hours with a book or just relaxing.

  : The reception staff are wonderful and very helpful, they were happy to take our luggage up and look after it as we waited for our onwards accommodation to become available. They also arranged for a taxi to make this trip. The room, a junior suite, was well appointed with an excellent view of St. Raphael.
  : The hotel restaurant manager has what can politely be described as a delusion of grandeur. Travelling from Paris that day, we ate at the restaurant for our evening meal and received only lukewarm service at best, as guests of the hotel, this was disappointing. I have eaten at the Intercontinental Carlton in Cannes and have been treated better. We watched as he turned prospective diners away from 'reserved' tables and my French is sufficiently good to understand what he said about them. What happened next has never happened to me anywhere in France, and I worked in Paris for several years. Without asking, the bill was placed on the table. Needless to say, I made them wait until we were ready to leave by finishing our drinks.Exploring St. Raphael and returning at 10 pm, the restaurant was never more than half full, and the 'reserved' tables were never occupied. As we entered the hotel through the restaurant, the manager's face was a picture. Yes, we were guests, and yes, I am leaving this review. We have eaten in some great restaurants around Europe, I love France. However, it was clear to me that the visitors and locals of St. Raphael are well aware of this odd restaurant manager and his delusions of grandeur. He didn't spoil our stay but it was a poor introduction to the wonderful Cote d'Azur for my wife and children.
