  : This hotel is a total gem. Not only is it well situated, it is lively and charming as well. The staff however seal the deal. I have returned to the Americana because of how awesome the staff is and I was proven again that they recruit the best people in Redding. Don’t worry if you arrive during the day, Lauren is so perky and fun, she will totally start off your trip with joy. If you arrive at night, Alva is there to offer you extreme enthusiasm, killer recommendations and such a warm welcome regardless if it’s midnight. I met a few other awesome folks but didn’t catch their names or I’d applaud them too. Clean and comfortable rooms. Some of the larger configurations have mini kitchens. The AC works great which is key in 102-110 degree days. Located right in the heart of everywhere you want to go. We walked to the restaurants. Close drive to attractions like Sun Dial.Coming back in a few weeks and so glad the Americana is waiting!
  : The beds could be comfier, maybe a pillowtop mattress and softer pillows. Would be awesome if the mini fridge had a few creamers so you could make coffee in your room without the powdered packets provided.
