  : Excellent location - very close to the main street / beaches, but also quite secluded. The hotel is located in the midst of an amazing, shady, wooden paradise. Lots of greenery and very well maintained. There are not that many rooms in total, so the place is not too busy.There is a nice pool on the premises, again situated in the shadows of the wood surrounding the hotel, with a bar near the middle (you can easily order from the pool). A great respite from the beaches when it is too hot outside during the day!The owners speak German, and there were quite a few German tourists. Great value for money overall!
  : The rooms / facilities are a bit outdated and need a refurbishment. While the hygiene was great (everything was very clean), there was nevertheless a mildewy scent everywhere (which is to be expected from dated facilities, given the moisture).There are also some weird rules regarding the breakfast area (e.g. regarding what kind of bags are allowed to be brought in there /i.e. none/, etc.; Germans love rules, I guess).There are just a few parking spots on the premises, but this is not that big of an issue since there is a big and free public parking closeby.

  : EnglishFor the first time, after almost 11 years of vacations in Greece, we had a very unpleasant experience with the Greeks who manage the Miramare hotel. The Greeks in Thassos always welcomed us with great friendliness, so what we experienced at the Miramare hotel seems unreal. Specifically, we chose to spend the weekend celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary at this hotel. On the first morning at 7:59, my wife and I went for breakfast. Indeed, breakfast is from 8 o'clock, but we thought that being 1 minute early wouldn't be a problem. It seems we were wrong! An older lady, probably the hotel's manager, shouted at my wife from a distance in German that breakfast starts at 8. In vain, we tried to understand why it mattered so much that it was 7:59 and not 8...Then something happened that we had never experienced anywhere we had been, and I can say we have visited quite a few countries. My wife couldn't eat her croissant, which she had taken for her coffee, and decided to take it with her to the beach. The same lady, who probably had been watching us on the security camera, stopped us in the hotel lobby to scold us in front of other people passing by, saying that taking food from breakfast was not allowed. In vain, we tried to explain that it was a leftover croissant from coffee and that it was unhygienic to put it back on the tray for someone else to eat. The lady was satisfied that we spoke to her in German, although Thassos is an island where Romanians have poured millions of euros for years, and it would have been nice for her to at least know how to say "Hello" or "Thank you" in Romanian. She showed no hospitality, politeness, or understanding of the situation.The next morning, we encountered several people at breakfast who were speaking German, and even though it was 8:00, they were already enjoying their breakfast. The lady didn't say anything to them. Well, dear lady and Mr.

  : Location was great, if you have a car. Argyris (the man who runs the entire place from sunrise to sunset) is friendly and extremely accommodating, he goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Room was clean. Breakfast was rich and excellent.
  : Hotel aesthetic is a little dated/worn. Lady at reception is a bit strict. Overall a good choice - Argyris and the breakfast buffet are the reasons why this hotel gets a good review and I would recommend it.

  : Very basic room only a kettle and 2 mugs, no plates, cutlery, considering its only bed and breakfast would have been nice to have other things in the room
