  : Noisy as it is close to two other cottages on the property, and in a very damp area (rainforest) where everything stays wet. Shared washer/dryer. Could use a new bed and pillows. Google coqui frogs. There are many of them there and they chirp all night. Some people love it...

  : I love Kehena beach and it was so easy to go to the beach whenever we wanted. We even saw spinner dolphins swimming in the bay.We liked the beach chairs.
  : I would like to have an outdoor shower or at least a foot wash, since it was hard to keep the sand out of the living area..It would also have been nice to have a couple of large beach towels or a beach blanket, it's hard to bring large items in a suitcase.

  : The hosts (Susan and Andre) were very helpful. They sent not only detailed driving directions and instructions regarding the property but also information about nearby beaches, stores, restaurants etc. Moreover, they refunded the deposit for the non-refundable booking that we had to cancel in 2020 because of Covid 19.
  : The light bulb in the ceiling fan of the living room needs to be changed (which is apparently not easy because the ceiling is high). No beach towels were provided. In the kitchen, we found one glass for water, one glass for sparkling wine, and many different-looking cups. The level of comfort could be easily improved by providing beach towels and 3-4 identical glasses of each kind (e.g., for water and wine).

  : Nothing.
  : The location was far removed from anything. There were teens and some guy smoking pot in the parking lot adjacent to the property going toward the beach, playing music and the gentleman offering to sell us some pot. The black sand beach can not be seen from the property, it is a steep climb almost straight down to even get to the beach. With another gentleman there trying to peddle fruit. DID NOT feel safe in the area. Nothing was as we thought. Would NOT recommend.

  : We have stayed in all 3 of the Kenena cottages and we did like having a full stove and microwave in the Whale House. The refrigerator was also a little larger as well which was nice for our longer stay this time.
