  : Lovely pub and the staff are fantastic. The food was very good and big portion sizes. We also stayed in one of the rooms and it was very clean and spacious. We were particularly impressed with the shower, with an overhead rainforest type spray and the usual pull out hand shower. The water was hot and the pressure really powerful. Weve stayed in a lot of places and usually you get just a trickle of lukewarm water! A continental breakfast is supplied along with water, orange juice and fresh milk all in a mini fridge, the milk a welcome change from the usual long life stuff found in most B&Bs. There was also an nespresso machine as opposed to cheap coffee sachets also generally found in B&Bs. The location is lovely, in a quiet residential street but maybe too long a walk for some into the City. It took us about half an hour via the roads and forty minutes along the river which didnt faze us as we regularly walk long distances, but there are plenty of cabs which cost about 8 to get to the property from the City centre.
  : The double bed although comfortable was small and as the room is so large it could easily have had a bigger bed in it. Also the room was very hot and the old fashioned sash windows were difficult to keep open, they kept sliding shut! Neither of these were really a huge problem though as we only stayed one night, maybe if wed have been there longer it would have been more of an issue. The only real downside were the towels, they were so tiny, they barely dried us or covered our dignity!! I dont think Ive ever seen bath towels so small and one was even smaller than the other! Again had we been staying longer this may have been an issue and we would have brought it to the attention of the hosts. However, these arent even complaints really just very minor negative points about an otherwise fabulous place.
