  : we traveled to Residence Inn Milford to gather with family for a wake and funeral. We stayed at this hotel in the past and had a wonderful stay. this time during our bereavement stay, the front desk representative working upon our arrival was rude and unhelpful, the lack of empathy for our reason for staying and needed to get into our rooms on or before 3p..was ignored. she would not let us check in our room until after 3p..to the minute. we are all from out of state, exhausted and bereaved, needed to get to the funeral by 330p. we were appalled. Our family reserved 4 rooms, all Bonvoy Members, three of us were treated poorly, one checked in after the wake at 7p..and she got an upgrade!! absurd. We also booked this specific hotel because of the outdoor pool. hours were posted 9am-9pm. we wanted to gather back at the hotel that evening, we were told the pool closed at 9p, and we rushed back and made it by 845p. another guest who has been a weekly renter, said he can get the pool time extended until 10p..again inconsistent rules for guests. the following morning, my family wanted to have breakfast and a swim before the 1230p funeral. The hotel maintenance put chemicals in the pool at 8am...restricting swimming until 1130am. we again booked this hotel for the outdoor pool and amenities, and Marriott fell short on service, kindness, and professionalism. We will be booking elsewhere when we come to visit our Connecticut family in the future.*April explained to her manager of our overall unpleasant experience, and the manager authorized a 25% credit.

  : Location was fantastic! Room was very spacious and had everting we could have needed.
  : I think it is time to do a little updating inside the room. Bathroom could use some sprucing up, paint, etc.. I would love to see a magnifying mirror added.
