  : We did not see the staff at all. We did not know that soap and toothpaste were not provided at the apartment.

  : Apartments are spacious, comfortable enough for 4 people. Good value for money. Great terrace with a view over the mountains/valley. Location close to cable car. Dishwasher, fondue and raclette sets were very useful for us.
  : - Good access with backpacks, but might be tricky with suitcases, as need to walk down hillside and a few stairs. - Not so easy to find, particularly if arrive after sunset, as not on the main road. - You need to throw away your rubbish yourself at cable car station, you need to buy your own toilet paper/rubbish bags if you need more than one provided, you need to remove bed sheets/pillowcases and leave them on the floor - this sounds more like a cheap hostel than apartment rental. But for price can't really complain - After 4 people taking the shower the bathroom is a mess, as there is no proper draining for the water in bathroom and no floor towel for bathroom is provided

  : Excellent location in Riederalp, a bit off the main street but clearly indicated as mentioned by the hosts in their welcome mail (do NOT use the IPhone maps, it's misguiding). Perfectly equipped (we did not cook - very close to good restaurants, too). Plenty of hot water and two bathrooms, very important to avoid queuing for a shower when 7 sweaty hikers return at the same time. Very calm area. Conveniently located next to a minimarket providing for fresh buns & bread at breakfast. Good WiFi connection.
  : Finding the keys was a bit tricky - so was discovering the WiFi code (actually provided in one of the messages on booking.com which was so long that the phone app would not display it in full length, so it took me some time to dig for it in the archives as it was sent well ahead of our arrival).

  : The chalet and the views. The quietness.
  : The cleaning lady, very aggressive attitude when we came in and before we had to leave. Check out time 9:30am.

Traveller Type: Solo Traveler
  : The location is advantageous as it is close to quite a few hiking trails. The Superior room/apartment is more than sufficient for a solo traveller with all the necessary amenities, and I would say it is sufficient for a family/group of four. It also has a larger duplex apartment upstairs for a bigger group. I can imagine how popular this place is during the winter season. It even has a sauna that can be used free of charge (with instructions on its use before and after). There is also a golf practice range just in front of the Chalet, and a golf course not too far from Riederalp West (where Chalet Valaisia is located). I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-day stay. The Manager was also very nice and accommodating.

Traveller Type: Family with Young Children
  : Comfortable home, characterful atmosphere, amazing view and conveniently equipped with all practical things one could wish for; like a washing machine (great when traveling light with kids). The car free village also offers a lot of facilities (range of restaurants, 2 supermarkets - COOP was our favorite, tennis pitch etc) and endless starting points for great hikes (of course you should hike along side the Aletsch). In the next village - at walking distance or even faster to reach by electric bus shuttle - there is a lake you can swim in on hotter days. Despite not being able to get your car up to the village, transportation of luggage by cable cart was made extremely easy by offering families larger trolleys you could fill . These where taken up in a special cable cart. The house was not more than 5 minutes walking distance from the cable cart station in Riederalp west. So the village being car free shouldnt stop anyone from booking.
  : Nothing really. As the pictures will tell: Its not super luxurious or contemporary, but has the basics more than covered. Especially given the fairly sharp rate.
