  : The hotel is located centrally in Lille.
  : To get into the hotel you have to go through the entrance of a small mall. During the evening there were eight homeless people sleeping rough at either side of the entrance.

  : This hotel is walkable from Eurostar/ Metros and the main town centre (though may be a little long for anyone with a walking impediment). Once in the hotel, it appeared clean and well-presented - front and back of house teams were largely very friendly and helpful. I chose the option with breakfast included and thought the continental-style breakfast served was nicely done, with good-quality food and coffee options
  : This was a single room, and a good compliment would be that the designer was very efficient at finding space. This was smaller even than single rooms in Paris & London which was a little surprising, but a fair description. The main entrance into the hotel does look a little shabby, and there were rough sleepers in the entranceway all evening I was there - they offered no problem, but I could see this may be offputting for some guests if they weren't expecting this. (once in the hotel entrance itself it is a pleasant set-up). When I stayed it was unseasonally warm (for early Oct) & the room faced the sun, so was very hot - I couldn't seem to get the air con to work in the main room though it was OK in the bathroom. Finally, on the second night of my stay, there were a number of mosquitos present in the room, which led to a bit of a disturbed night's sleep. This could happen anywhere and isn't meant to be a criticism of Lille city hotel - just one to be aware of
