  : Some more staff training clearly needed. Could the receptionist on arrival get off her chair maybe and greet us rather than hiding behind her screen playing computer games? That wasnt the best of starts. The hotel internet was down for most of our stay. We accept that gremlins in the system can occur in the most luxurious of hotels. But there was no were really sorr, please accept xxx with our compliments. On the contrary, the conversation went more like: Can you please tell us when your internet might be working?, Oh is it still not working?, No, Oh, I know (sic) theyre working on it now and Im sure it wont be long (double sic). Thats really not acceptable for the price these guys are charging. And on the subject of room noise, yes, we were warned the hotel was next to a freight rail line, but when we asked why the renovators hadnt installed double or triple-glazing, we were met with such a blank look we might as well have asked why they hadnt bricked up all the windows. The its an old building excuse doesnt really wash if youre from a continent where hotels are regularly in buildings far older than this one but still manage modern conveniences like soundproofing.

  : Charming characterful hotel in a superb location. Reception/lounge area was lovely.
  : Quite expensive for the 'period' facilities, ie tiny room, tiny shower, etc. Then everything appeared geared to extracting more money from guests. No coffee making facility in room and the 'free coffee available 24 hours in reception' was quite literally stone cold at 10pm.

  : Awesome location, and cute room, the staff was very nice and the place is super dog friendly. We didn't use the sauna but were very thankful for the bike storage.
  : Unfortunately our room was pretty loud as it's an old building with not a lot of noise insulation.

  : This was my second time staying here. The first time my room location was a bit noisy being above Pietro's parking lot. It was also a Saturday night so more action all around. I was a bit hesitant to book three nights but you can't beat the location. My room location this time was superb and the bed was very comfortable. I now know what room to ask for next time I stay. :)
  : I wish the room had a mini fridge but definitely not a dealbreaker.
