  : Clean, large room, comfy beds. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Nice heating also. Big windows to let you enjoy the aurora (if youre lucky enough). Excellent location in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, some attractions are within walking distance and others are a short drive away.
  : On the day of the check-in I got a message from the property saying the front desk was open until 10pm, and after that you had to do a self check-in process. To our surprise, we arrived there at 8pm and it was already closed. No worries, we proceeded to the room to do the self check-in (which involves opening a safe next to the door), only to find the key hanging there on the door. The restaurant was also closed, and since its a very small village, everything else was also closed.

  : Restaurant opens for dinner only if there's a lot of clients (it didn't open for us because there were only 3 clients that night), so we didn't have dinner.

  : Arrival was infuriating. There was no one available to check us in. There was a phone number on the door but we did not have an available phone due to roaming issues in Iceland. It would have been helpful if there had been a placard explaining where the manager was located. It turned out a room with access info had been sent to me in the plethora of emails/messages received earlier. Some people dont have data so this doesnt always work for everyone. I only read the first paragraph of the message that said reception was available until 10pm and Im sure I read the restaurant was open until 10pm. I hadnt bothered to read on as I expected someone to be there on arrival. The restaurant was closed, we drove 19km for dinner. We had to annoy closed cafe owners over the road who told us where they thought the manager lived. He was polite and apologetic when we found him, but given previous reviews with people having similar complaints about access, this should already have been solved. Met a lovely lady in the morning who was opening the restaurant. All in all good stay once we got in. But arriving to a ghost town in winter without instructions on the door (more than a phone number) is inexcusable.
