  : The bed was one of the best I have experienced in comfort and linens. Breakfast had many options.
  : More light in the room. One of the desks was in the dark. Although there was a lot to select at breakfast, there were no healthy options. Yoghurt was too sweet, with vegetable juice - for color, corn starch & Bioengineered products. Raisin bread tasted like cardboard, bananas were past their expiry time. Omelette barely passed the test. Less but healthier options would be better.

  : Overall we found the Hampton in to be a step up from some of the other places We've been in Hamburg recently in terms of breakfast and cleanliness (kudos to staff).The staff were welcoming and friendly, and always were eager to help or answer questions.Graphics describing options were well done and clear. Any time we asked for anything, they had it or could get it. Having the convenience store a short walk next door was a big help too.The breakfast room was a high point. Options similar to other places I've been, but waaaay more spacious than most I've been in, with good room for seating and clear signage explaining how to use things like the waffle maker. It was clear that the people who work there took pride in keeping the space looking good and working efficiently. The free tea/coffee/hot chocolate stand was nice too.The room we had was cleaned well and reasonably spacious, with several counter spaces to set our stuff out on, and comfortably placed outlets by each side of the bed.Other places we've stayed lost staff during and post-COVID - so went downhill. This place seems like a better fit right now.
  : I'm sad to say there were several comfort issues. I did not complain to the staff because these are design flaws, not service issues, but worth pointing out.• The beds were uncomfortable. Too soft, I think, but we were both waking up every hour or two trying to find the right position, and woke up achy. On the last night I finally moved to the love seat (legs hanging over the edge) and slept like a baby for the remaining three hours.• The walls and ceilings don't appear to have been made to muffle noise at all.The guy above us would pace his room for an hour and a half starting around 11 pm every night, and the ceiling creaked overhead. I've never had between-floor sound transmission that clearly. On our last night, we had a woman check into the room next to us and proceed to talk loudly (not yell) at someone on her phone for two hours. We could hear every word. We could even hear her unzip her bags. We've had louder neighbors in other stays, but heard less. In most places you'd expect to hear SOME noise, but the sound transmission here was way too clear. Some extra soundproofing or "party walls" would have helped a TON. I've had much less noise in cheaper places.• We couldn't set temp on thermostat. We had to switch to "heat" or "Cool" whenever it got too cold or hot. It's nice to be able to set something to a reasonable temp and just leave it there. We were shooting for an even 68 or so - but were back and forth between 58 and 72.• Minor design issue - Instead of doors, the closet and bathroom share a sliding barn door. So no doors swinging out into the walking space, and clear air return to the bathroom - but the result is a bathroom with a door with over an inch of open space all around it. We were fortunate and didn't have any erm...late night noisy "explosive" events, but a regular door with a 3/4" gap at the bottom would give you air flow AND privacy.

  : Loved the pool! Great location! Modern!
  : Small pool. Lack of carpets.(safety issue) staff wasn’t polite. Outlets didn’t work. Internet wasn’t fast even when good internet was bought.
