  : See my statement below, since I cannot really rate the motel in question, because I never allowed to stay there.
  : I really can't rate this motel as to its attributes because I never stayed there. Instead, when I arrived, I was checked in by a friendly person who spoke only barely passable English, and only after check-in was I told that I had to drive down the road a couple of miles to another motel - one that I had decided against when I was originally reviewing my options. I booked a location what was walkable to downtown, but the alternative was not. The room provided at the alternative motel was itself fine, but it was near the freeway, which I avoid, and the next morning, the full breakfast was awful. (Note that the Timberly may have only had a continental breakfast provided - I'm uncertain.) The breakfast area of the motel where I actually stayed was filthy, there was no butter or sugar-free syrup for the waffle, the was no cereal other than sugary varieties and the sausages, which appeared to be a pre-cooked variety, were placed in a crock pot and were stone cold. Even worse, the scrambled eggs, if that was what they were, had black, chip-like, objects which appeared to me to be burnt scrapings from the pan in which they were cooked.

  : The guy at the desk was not very friendly. He could barely speak english. We saw a couple bugs in our room. Michigan cock roaches.

  : the rooms appeared to be an attempt at creating a clean and new environment.
  : I requested the second day be canceled as our trip had changed. I was told only through Booking.com could it be changed because I booked through there. This was lame and I was not allowed to change my reservation. I will never be using Booking.com again. This is a red flag for me now. The hotel appeared to have a recent fire. Long term residents of the motel appeared to be hanging out in front of rooms and having a smoke and drink and who knows what else. I would recommend staying away from this hotel. Beds also had an itchy feeling to them.

  : Hard to see out the window, it was very dirty and smeared. The bathroom is in need of an update. Bath tub is old and nasty, tile is old and cracked and some it is ready to fall off.
