  : The location was wonderful being close to the Redwood National and State Parks and the ocean. The ocean views from the balcony and windows were gorgeous.
  : The mattresses were memory foam which caused me and my husband to sweat. There needs to be some padding material between the mattress and the sheets to prevent sweating. The sofa in the room was uncomfortable. The chairs on the balcony were flimsy.

  : Right on the ocean. We upgraded to a top floor with a balcony for a better view. The hotel restaurant has good food and they also sell beer and wine at the front desk. Room is setup well but is in some disrepair. Beds are memory foam and comfortable. The AC worked well.
  : The room is in disrepair. The pergo floor has splits and cracks. The toilet broke and maintenance came and couldnt fix it even though it was an easy fix. The elevator is very slow and is also need of some TLC and cleaning. The WiFi drops for no reason. There is a fog horn randomly going off nearby and we couldnt keep the door open to hear the ocean. There were black flies in the bathroom we couldn't seem to get rid of them

  : We loved the restaurant there, our waiter was amazing! The drinks and desserts were delicious, though that's all we had the appetite for after our meals during the day so I can't vouch for the food as much as I'd like! We also loved that the beach was literally 25-50 feet from the lodge. The fridge and microwave worked just fine :)
  : Unfortunately, the bathroom had splattered on the walls what looked to be blood. It was red the first night we were there and turned a more brown color by the next day. It wasn't very big droplets, but enough to be noticeable. It just looked like someone had a bloody nose or something. Pictures attached.The hot tub jets didn't work (either no current/bubbles at all or so strong it literally was spraying out all over the surrounding tiles and splashing up above our heads), and in our room, the shampoo/conditioner/body wash was old and separated.When we woke up and were getting ready to leave our second day, my husband saw a bug crawling under the bed.The exterior of the lodge looked to be in the process of renovations (at least I hope, because it looked to be falling apart if not!)I really wanted to give this place a good review. The staff was pleasant and the location was top notch, but there were just too many things to ignore. The couple in the room next to us were upset the entire stay because they couldn't get ahold of hotel staff by the front desk, calling, or emailing 5x. We did not even attempt to contact the staff for our issues because we figured we may run into the same issues, and it was only a one night stay.

  : Not much.
  : Check-in was 3pm. We were waiting for 3pm. Someone came in front door and they were waited on first. Check - in told me we had no view and for $150 a night more I could have 3rd floor with balcony. I kept the ocean front room we booked on the first floor. We got to it and it had a view where we had sand dunes and ocean view. I was with a handicap man and the front desk person jokingly told me no elevator. I asked thinking I might up grade. Did not Up grade. Shower bath mat damp, fresh stain on bedspread/blanket, gray linens - not sure if they were clean. Bath slip mat had water and rust under neither it when I tried to reposition it. Windows in room and restaurant dirty and we wondered if anyone ever cleaned.
