  : The place was very clean. The cleaners were the most consistently nice and helpful people we talked with during our entire stay. There was zero noise from any other guests in the hotel. We never hear a door shut, a toilet flush, or a whisper in the hallway. Location was choice too. Very walkable to everything relevant to our interests.
  : $6.50 for a 20oz Coke? $4.00 for a regular sized candy bar?!? I don't mind paying a bit of a premium for convivence, but the hotel pricing was offensive. I know I complimented how quiet the room was, which is true, but that was for the guests only. However, right outside was nothing but emergency vehicles and motorcycles 24/7. We bought earplugs for the entire family after our first night. It was that bad. We were on the 8th floor and this was supposed to be a lake view, but we were literally at treetop level and could barely see any water at all. SUPER disappointed with the "view". We had to call ahead 1hr 45min ahead of time in order to reserve a slot at the pool. This sure isn't advertised and consequently, we were unable to go to the pool, which is the #1 reason I booked the hotel in the first place. Oh, and they also added a mandatory $25 per day "resort fee", which booking.com did not inform me of, in order to use the pool/gym/wifi. And the wifi was worse than the 5G on my phone, so of course I didn't even use the wifi. Whenever we had questions, the staff was very much "not my problem, ask this person instead" and they just moved on with their day. The entire hotel felt antiquated, and not in the "oh look how old school this is" sort of way. Instead it feels like every department is an island unto themselves. There is obviously no cross training and each department has no idea or care what the other departments do. The baggage attendants and valets were hyper aggressive (especially the baggage, like holy shit bro - snatching bags out of my teenagers hands type of stuff). Do they live on tips? Is that what all that was about?!? I got text messages daily asking how my visit was, but how do I even respond when the entire experience was so lackluster? I'm in the middle of my planned vacation, I don't have time/energy to fix all these issues.

  : It was clean and in a great location.
  : I was not pleased that I reserved a king room and when I got to the hotel to check in I was told the king room I reserved was given to other guests and I could have a double room for the same price. Parking garage was full and we were told to park at a pay per night uncovered public lot 2 blocks from our hotel. At no time did the hotel offer to compensate me for this and my stay ended up costing 150.00 more then the already high fee of 400.00 for one night.

Front desk person, said he was an intern and would be glad when 16 days passed because he would be leaving.Doorman constantly texting on cell phone.Security person yawingvery loudly.Text messages, chat bots and apps don't provide good customer service, HUMANS do.Destination fee is a rip off

  : My grand-daughter and I had a 2-bed 2-bath room at the inside end of one of the michigan avenue-facing "U"s. It was spacious and had a lovely, though a bit restricted, view of the park/lake. The separate bathrooms were great. Room 1408
  : No concierge, so no help with taxi, etc. or restaurant advice.
