  : My family of 5 stopped over for one night in Chartres. L'Echappee Belle was perfect for us. It is a beautiful, older house, lovingly renovated and run by Coraline and her family. It is set between newer buildings opposite a park which you can walk through for beautiful views of the cathedral and a scenic 10 minute walk into the old centre of Chartres. The house and courtyard are beautiful. There is decent amount of on street parking nearby and we had no issue finding a space. Rooms were clean, comfortable and we slept well. Coraline and her family were charming, helpful in advising us local events during the evening of our stay, great at communicating via the booking messaging app and provided a wonderful breakfast spread!
  : The house is set back on a main road between taller, newer buildings so we missed it when we first drove past! Look for red brick and greenery near corner with Rue Jean Laillet and you won't go wrong. The rooms were quiet and we had no road noise and were ultimately pleased with the location because it was such a short walk into the centre.

  : The accomodation was comfortable and close to the city centre and cathedral which was the reason for our choice
  : Breakfast was included with this booking, but what we had was some previous persons breakfasts still on the table. I had to ask for milk for my cerealand also for a coffee. Bread was stale and she showed no interest in our breakfast, prefering to play with a child.

  : The house is lovely and traditional. Very comfortable room, beautifully furnished. Coraline was a very charming hostess. The breakfast included some lovely homemade bread. Despite being on a main road, the room was exceptionally quiet.

  : We stopped there overnight on our way to our destination. The place is situated in the town centre within easy reach of the cathedral. We enjoyed a peaceful night and an excellent breakfast. Our host was very friendly and welcoming
  : The property itself was a very nice old house with lots of character but it is situated in a very built up area of flats and suburbs.
