  : Was clean, but room had a weird smell to it. Location was good for Acadia park entrance.
  : No soap in bathroom, was not expecting luxury for the price in the area, but not even a bar of soap in the bathroom to wash your hands.

  : The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The cleaning staff were friendly.
  : First of all, the office is not welcoming at all. Lots of stuff everywhere. No light on even though it was dusk. The woman at the front desk came in arguing with someone on the phone and we had to wait while she finished that conversation. The room had an awful, musty smell. It didnt feel clean. When we got in the room only one light worked. I went back to the office to tell the woman at the front desk and she was not happy about it. She kept telling me that the lights worked but I asked her to come to the room and fix them. I did not get a good response but she did come to the room with a big sigh. The bedside light just had to be tapped really hard to turn on. There was another light close to the TV that had to be plugged in. Apparently she unplugged the refrigerator to plug the light in. During the night the refrigerator, being unplugged, defrosted and there was wet carpet all around the refrigerator the next morning and the refrigerator was full of water. We had to get behind the cabinet holding the refrigerator, TV, and microwave to figure out the plug situation. It took us about a half hour to get everything plugged in and working. The bathroom had hair in the tub, on the toilet, and around the sink. The shower/bath tub combo had some kind of a nonslip mat and when I pulled it back thinking I would take a bath it was full of a gummy material, probably glue, but there was no way I could take a bath because that wouldve gotten in the water. This place is so overpriced and is very dated and is not a pleasant place to stay. I would not recommend it at all.

  : The TV and cable didn't work. The thermostat was not working properly and the room was either way too hot or freezing. The refrigerator did nork work properly. If you set the temperature dial to 1, the frig was warm. Any of the other setting 2 thru 7, everything in the frig froze solid. The room was tiny....we had one queen bed (supposed to have two), and there was barely room to walk on either side of the bed. We had to put the two chairs together at the foot of the bed and put a suitcase across them to have any space to get around the room. The hotel reception was dark (no lights on at all) and cluttered with old newspapers and other junk on the counter and the rest of the room.

  : Refunded at least a portion of my initial fee.
  : We were booked for two nights. We were running late and repeatedly tried to call. Literally, 21 calls later, someone picked up the phone. When we told them we would arrive between 9:05 and 9:10 PM, we were told that the clerk had been on duty all day, was off at 9:00, and would not wait the extra 10 minutes for us to check in. When we did arrive, we found our lone key (only 1 provided by hotel's rules) in an envelope taped to the outside office door. The room smelled extremely "musty." (Dampness? Mold? Mildew?) The small closet was missing the entire hanger bar making it useless. The wifi in the room was spotty, and even when you could connect, the speed was so slow (5 Mbps) it was virtually useless. It disconnected completely frequently. I called Booking to see what could be done, and all they could do was contact the management of the motel. We argued with management about refunding our entire amount so we could go elsewhere and they refused. So, we stayed one night. The bed mattress was lumpy and "squishy." The next morning I started out with a lukewarm at best shower that turned cold after about three minutes. Management did refund half of one night's stay, which didn't come close to making up for this mess of a room.
