  : Cosy spot in the middle of a cute sleepy little town, close to restaurants. Very comfortable bed, comforter and room. Great breakfast. Friendly staff.
  : The inability to park right in front of the door to unload our baggage. Just a standing fan in the room on a hot day. Loud people at a bar terrace across from the hotel on w.e. until 2am and could not keep the window open because of that. Rooms in the back are quieter and have a balcony and a view.

  : All the staff were terrific, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had complimentary thermal water, which tasted better than the hotel's tap water. Location was easy to find and central in the town, close to restaurants and shops. The breakfast room was spacious, clean, and welcoming. The food selection was more or less a standard continental hotel buffet, but had a nice range of Sirocco teas. I paid extra for mountain/garden view instead of city view. It was nice to see the mountains, even though there are still some buildings next to the garden that block the view partially. The photos shown on the website for the balcony rooms were potentially taken from a higher floor than my floor (2nd).
  : The room. I had come for a brief relaxation getaway and booked a garden-facing room with balcony.Decor: When I arrived I discovered that the room did not look as calming and relaxing as it had in the photos. Instead, the colour scheme was somewhat loud with a slight 1980s style - the curtains were bright red with brown stripes, the bed furnishings were bright red; wood painted black-brown. The chairs were upholstered in red corduroy-like fabric. The work desk has a glassy surface and the side table was made of glass.Lighting: I suspect the table and bedside lamps gave off a considerable amount of heat. Also, there's no soft/low warm lighting configuration suitable for winding down for bedtime; the lights are all quite strong, and whitish rather than warm-coloured.Heat: The room retained heat astonishingly - which could likely be a great benefit in winter but became unfortunately a challenge:Firstly, I discovered smoking is allowed on the balconies, and the neighbouring guest was smoking on the balcony in the evening so I had to close the windows. I could only safely open both windows later in the night.Secondly, although the outside temperature was 15-20 C, and I had kept both windows open for ventilation from midnight onward, the room felt like 25-28 C throughout. This was confirmed by the room's floor-fan device, which has a screen that remains lit up with the ambient temperature reading throughout the night. It consistently showed 25-26 C.Thirdly, opening the windows brings both light from the street as well as noise. There were intermittent traffic noises (albeit likely less than the street-facing side), as well as church bells. The bell rings frequently. Every 15 minutes until sometime around midnight - then between nighttime and 6am it rings every hour. The sound is beautiful, but very audible.I know this because throughout the night I was unable to get a single wink of sleep - due to the stuffy heat retention, plus lights, plus...
