  : Beautiful apartment, located beside shops and restaurants. Great kitchen, comfy furniture and a very nice balcony. Located close to a metro station and a 24hr boat to the central station.

  : Great week in Amsterdam made even more perfect by comfortable stay at apartment Gentiana, Ingrid was very accommodating and available by phone whenever needed. Was wonderful to have a home from home - well equipped kitchen to prepare our meals and save a bit of money with a young family! And kids loved the toys! Balcony area to enjoy dinner outside if the weather allows. Very fortunate to be able to make use of the new metro station making the journey into the city very easy, less than 10 minute walk to the station and then 5 minutes to Central station in Amsterdam. Kids also enjoyed ferry ride but the walk is a bit longer than the metro - but travel is free! Supermarket within a minute's walk. Ingrid also very kindly arranged for a parking permit for our week's stay.
  : Expensive stay, but on a par with all property in Amsterdam. Couple of other very minor things - we missed having a microwave to warm the youngest's milk and at certain points of the day there was the smell of drains, but this wasn't a problem with the property it was from outside and may have been because of the recent hot weather. Wouldn't stop us staying there again.

  : The owner, Ingrid, is so friendly and helpful. It was so nice to have a connection to a local to give us her perspective on life in Amsterdam. Location practically across the street from two supermarkets was incredibly convenient, and the walk to the Metro was easy. The walk to the ferry was only slightly longer, and the ferry runs 24 hours. Washer and dryer worked very well.
  : We had bad luck with very hot weather, and there were no fans in the apartment (A/C is not common in the Netherlands, from what we can tell). With the windows open, traffic noise was fairly loud, although it might not bother you if you come from a big city. The unit includes two sets of very steep stairs with bedrooms on a separate level from the living room and kitchen, and we didn't have problems, but just good to be aware of before booking.
